About me

I come from an incredibly creative family.  If it wasn’t Mum sewing, baking, using us as guinea pigs for her cooking experiments (curried eggs spring to mind here), drawing or making polystyrene wall decorations (I was a product of the ‘70s after all), it was Dad doing leatherwork or pottering around in the garage, my sister making things for school, or my grandparents concocting a home brew, knitting or brandishing pastels, watercolours, oils and the like.  There was no escape.  And thank goodness there wasn’t!  There is something very special about being creative with your nearest and dearest, picking up skills and techniques that you can pass on or store for later…
A South African born arts professional living in the UK, I completed my N. Dip. Journalism in Durban and have worked as a reporter both in the UK and SA.  I went on to do my BA (Hons) Fine Art in London and am currently working as an Arts Development Officer.  Creativity is my life.
